Microsoft has re-mixed the Zune. The Zune, maybe better known as the music player that placed a distant second to the iPod, is now slightly better. The new Zune HD, is meant as a mini entertainment center. The HD comes from its HD radio and HD video (16:9 aspect ratio OLED screen) capabilities.

I have always walked around with music playing. Before my Ipod I would put my laptop in my backpack, prevent it from hibernating and plug in headphones. Before that it was a Walkman.

There is a noticeable difference between someone who puts in just enough effort to get by and someone who focuses on reaching perfection. There is a special degree of respect due when someone is able to dedicate that much effort to their craft. It is like a fine wine or an aged scotch. This week features a battle for the most anticipated album. It features bands with two of the better songs I’ve heard lately. Grizzly Bear’s new album, “Veckatimest” is out this week and includes the song “Two Weeks”. Also this week, Phoenix releases their album, “Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix” which features the track “1901″.

Radiohead has returned to the studio this week after not long after releasing “In Rainbows”. The band which took 4 years between “Hail to the Thief” and “In Rainbows” is back in the studio after a short year and a half. (bbc.co.uk)
