Bio:
The Auditor General started with Jamie Smith writing/recording songs in his bedroom while living “away” in Halifax, N.S. After returning to his hometown of Thunder Bay, ON, Smith, bassist Dave Angell and a host of others have concentrated their efforts and now live in a giant Victorian home that they’ve converted into a recording studio. During the later part of 2008, Jamie and Dave, along with guitar phenom Justin Sillman and rhythm makers Josh Hogan and Ian Mackay, laid down tracks for their debut.

K’naan - “Troubadour”

As a rule, I don’t listen to rap or hip hop. It’s not that I’ve never given the genre a shot, but I have a very hard time relating to what most MCs are talking about. I don’t really get the swagger of that scene. It never really appealed to me.

So would K’Naan, a Somali refugee who now calls Toronto home, be able to at least give me a bigger world view when it came to the hip-hop scene?

Lamb of God is one of those polarizing bands; you either like ‘em or you don’t.

Too new school for the purists, too old school for the newbies, Lamb of God occupies a space usually reserved for game-changers. Which is exactly what they are.
