I had recently read that Franz Ferdinand was back in the studio writing and recording music for an upcoming album. Well that has been confirmed by Alex Kapranos, the lead singer of Franz Ferdinand, told BBC Music the recording is complete. The album, their third full-release, is expected to be much softer and in a quote from Kapranos:

I’ve been following the release of the new Fear Before album pretty heavily (Fear Before the March of Flames on Tour and Fear Before the March of Flames Change Name). After taking more than three years to release “Weezer (The Red Album)”, Weezer is getting an early start on their next album. Recording sessions are rumored to start in November. Despite some reviews of “The Red Album”, I really enjoyed it. They are rumored to be continuing in the trend from “The Red Album” with all the members sharing songwriting duties.
